Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the ANSEM Wallet browser extension accesses, why it is needed, and the choices available to you.

Effective: August 24, 2026 Extension version: 1.38.2

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the ANSEM Wallet browser extension (the “Extension”). It does not govern third-party websites, decentralized applications, blockchains, wallet services, or protocols you choose to use through the Extension.

2. Information the Extension handles

Depending on the features you use, the Extension may handle:

3. How information is used

The Extension uses information to create and restore wallets, display balances and activity, connect to supported websites, prepare and sign transactions at your direction, remember settings, prevent unauthorized access, and maintain the reliability and security of the Extension.

4. Browser permissions

The Extension requests browser permissions that allow it to store encrypted wallet state and preferences, communicate with webpages when you connect your wallet, run its background wallet service, open its side panel, and interact with the active tab when requested. Website access is used to provide wallet connection functionality; it is not permission to read unrelated browsing activity for advertising.

5. Networks and third parties

To provide wallet features, public addresses and transaction data may be sent to blockchain nodes, indexing services, token or price-data providers, swap or bridge providers, and other services selected through the Extension. Transactions broadcast to a public blockchain are public and generally cannot be deleted.

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Review those policies before connecting to or using a service.

6. Sale of information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use wallet credentials or browsing activity for targeted advertising.

7. Security and your responsibilities

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information handled by the Extension, but no software or storage method is completely secure. Keep your browser and Extension updated, use a strong password, verify transaction details, and never share your recovery phrase or private keys. Anyone with those credentials may control your assets.

8. Retention and deletion

Locally stored Extension data remains in your browser profile until you remove accounts, reset or uninstall the Extension, or clear the Extension’s storage. Information recorded on a public blockchain cannot be altered or deleted by ANSEM Wallet. Third-party providers may retain data according to their own policies and legal obligations.

9. Children’s privacy

The Extension is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. You must be legally able to use the Extension in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Extension or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision. Material changes may also be communicated through the Extension or its official distribution page.

11. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact ANSEM through the official support channel listed on the Extension’s verified distribution page. To protect yourself from impersonation, never include your recovery phrase, private keys, or password in a support request.
